Outcome Studies

One of the things that seperates Thriving: Recover Your Life from most every other recovery church or ministry program is that we're interested in measuring the kind of results that our program is producing. With a 25% success rate in traditional addiction treatment programs, and a 75% drop out rate in many support groups, we want to change the future of recovery. Outcome studies are an essential element of program development and help us determine if we are actually reaching our goals.

This page will provide you with links to outcome studies to be used with the Thriving: Recover Your Life program.
These outcome surveys are designed to generate valid and reliable data to help us measure change and growth among Thriving participants. We want to actively encourage you to work with us in these outcome studies and we welcome the development of new assessment tools. It is important however, that the outcome studies generate statistically valid and reliable data. We believe the studies posted here meet those criteria and encourage their use in your Thriving groups.

We encourage you to use these surveys on your first day of either Restarting or Forming, and you can administer the survey again upon completion of the Thriving: Recover Your Life program. You may also admister the survey when the participants have completed either Restarting of Forming. However, since the Thriving: Recover Your Life program is a year long, you will generate better data if you wait until participants have completed the entire program. As you will notice, the survey created by Stephen McAlister allows participants to create a unique identification number that can be used every time the survey is administered. This keeps their results confidential while allowing us to track their growth over time.
